Electronics Assembly Technician Custom Test Equipment & Prototype BuildsLocation: Westfield, IN (Indianapolis Metro Area)Department: Production / AssemblyEmployment Type: Full-TimeExperience: Mid-to-Senior (5-10 years)Compensation: Competitive; commensurate with experienceJob SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Assembly Technician to build, wire, modify, and test custom electromechanical systems, prototype fixtures, and rack-mount test cabinets for the avionics, defense, and medical industries. If you thrive in a custom-built environment, take pride in clean workmanship, and have deep experience bringing one-off systems to life, we want you on our team.Primary ResponsibilitiesAssemble and modify electrical and mechanical custom prototype fixtures and 19? rack-mount test stands.Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and customer specifications.Build and wire control panels, custom cable assemblies, and interconnect systems (including VPC hardware and Pogo Pin fixtures).Perform mechanical modifications (drilling, cutting, fitting) and soldering (wire tinning and PCB).Test functional performance using DMMs, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.Inspect all installations and mechanical parts to ensure the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.Skills & AttributesYou are a detail-oriented, craftsmanship-driven team player who enjoys variety. We cannot sponsor visas.QualificationsRequired:5-10 years of experience in electronics or electromechanical assembly.Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering Technology (EET) or a related technical degree.Hands-on proficiency with crimping, wire termination, soldering, harness building, and functional testing.Excellent team orientation and communication skills.Preferred:IPC certifications (IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, J-STD-001).PCB hand-soldering experience and familiarity with ESD-safe work practices.Background in avionics/defense and experience in custom low-volume/high-mix production.Why is This a Great Opportunity?About Us & BenefitsFor 60 years, we have delivered complex custom test, automation, and engineering solutions across diverse industries.
