GE Vernova is seeking a skilled General Assembler to join our team focused on building instrument transformers to precise specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience using a variety of tools and torque wrenches in an assembly environment. Attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential for this role. Job Description Assemble instrument transformers according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and torque wrenches to complete assembly tasks. Ensure all components are properly aligned, calibrated, and installed according to quality standards. Conduct inspections and tests to verify conformance with specifications and quality requirements. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members and other departments to achieve production goals and resolve any assembly issues. Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Qualifications / Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in mechanical assembly is preferred. Proven experience as a general assembler or similar role in a manufacturing or production environment. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and torque wrenches. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in assembly work. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Basic computer skills for data entry and accessing work instructions. Desired Characteristics Previous experience specifically in assembling instrument transformers or similar electrical equipment. Familiarity with quality control processes and procedures. Ability to troubleshoot assembly issues and make adjustments as necessary. Physical Characteristics Ability to lift and maneuver heavy components and equipment. Comfortable standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods. Compensation and Benefits For candidates applying to a U.S. based position only: The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
