Staff AI-Native DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the build, deployment, and reliability of ServiceNow Otto systems across SaaS environments.
• Deploy, scale, and operate distributed microservices in production Kubernetes environments.
• Design infrastructure automation with Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Kubernetes Operators, and related Kubernetes-native tooling.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Tekton, and ArgoCD.
• Implement observability, monitoring, incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation practices.
• Architect and optimize public and private cloud infrastructure for security, scalability, cost efficiency, and operational simplicity.
• Develop infrastructure automation and operational tooling using Go, Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Lead cross-team infrastructure initiatives and establish scalable platform engineering practices.
• Deploy, operate, and troubleshoot LLM-powered and agentic services in production, including model integrations, latency, resource utilization, and operational costs.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of professional experience in software engineering, infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or a related field.
• At least 6 years deploying and operating containerized applications and distributed services in production.
• At least 4 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and infrastructure automation.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, Bash, or another programming or scripting language, with experience building production-grade automation and tooling.
• Experience designing and operating scalable, reliable, secure cloud-native applications and infrastructure.
• Experience leading complex infrastructure initiatives, establishing engineering best practices, and driving adoption across multiple teams.
• Working knowledge of LLMs, generative AI, and agentic AI concepts, including integration patterns and operational considerations.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools and safely validating, debugging, and integrating generated code.
• Preferred qualifications include extensive experience operating Kubernetes-based SaaS platforms at scale and developing Kubernetes Operators or custom controllers.
• Preferred qualifications include technical leadership across infrastructure initiatives and experience operating LLM-powered or agentic systems in production.

• Base pay is listed at $176,100-$308,200, with equity when applicable, variable or incentive compensation, and benefits.
