Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician II, you will support the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor junior technicians to help them grow in their roles.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more
• Maintain positive working relationships across all of the Operations facility
• Track and store department inventory
• Move up to 49lbs and stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls
• 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment
• 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
• 1+ years of metal and wood fabrication
• 1+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading
• 1+ year of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles
• Must be able to use a multimeter

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field
• 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field
• Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards
• Project Management experience
• Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Experience with robotic operation and maintenance
• Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions

Work Environment

The physical demands of this job include the ability to reach arms above head, kneel, squat, climb steps/ladders, and frequently lift a maximum of 50 lbs. of equipment. You will perform tasks wearing a mask, face shield, and composite-toed boots. The job involves movement between departments, floors, and properties to facilitate work, which includes walking 6 to 12 miles per day. You will work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures and are regularly required to type on a computer or stand-up desk for 1-2 hours per day.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, CO.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $36.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
