Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Weekdays with some weekends | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown / Immediate Care Unit setting with varying acuity levels, including patients who may present as Progressive Care or Telemetry-level in larger facilities
• Maintain a typical patient ratio of 1:4, with flexibility to 1:5 during high-census or emergency situations
• Perform IV insertions and monitor patients via telemetry, including the ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Cerner EMR
• Adhere to unit scheduling expectations, including some weekend shifts; blocked schedules considered for weekend blocks only (Fri–Sat–Sun or Sat–Sun–Mon)
• Limit holiday time-off requests to no more than 2 of the 4 major holidays per contract

Required Qualifications

• Active RN License in West Virginia or a Compact State (pending license accepted at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; at least 1 year in a Med/Surg or Telemetry setting and 2 years in a Stepdown environment preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required — must be issued through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Proficiency in IV insertion and telemetry monitoring, including cardiac strip interpretation
• Experience with Cerner EMR
• Must have a permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility; candidates residing between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience, though not required
• Familiarity with caring for patients across a range of acuity levels, including Progressive Care and Telemetry presentations
• Experience with blocked weekend scheduling in a travel or contract setting
