Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License required Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Neuro experience preferred Description: The Medical Surgical unit is a mixed bed neurosurgery and general surgery unit. It serves patients with various medical and surgical needs. Patient ratios are 1:5, depending on staffing. The schedule consists of 3 shifts of 12 hours each, totaling 36 hours per week. There is a weekend shift requirement of 3-4 shifts every 4 weeks. Clinicians may float within their scope of practice to meet facility needs. First-time travelers are accepted. The unit supports interdisciplinary services such as IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Pharmacists. Preferred experience includes neuro care and specialized certifications. All RNs are expected to wear standard scrubs in designated colors. During hurricane season, all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams. It is essential to complete all pre-start compliance on time.
