Must have experience with plasma cutters and torches. Must be an effective communicator and team player with the ability to multitask. This candidate must be meticulous in their work and always strive for improvement. The candidate must be able follow work instructions while maintaining both accountability and accurate work documentation. Must be able to pass 2G ASME weld test prior to being hired.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Weld prep: Daily use of grinder, pipe rotator and band saw.Welding: Daily MIG pipe welding, plasma cutting, and torch.General knowledge: Fabrication, machining/welding equipment setup, process and maintenance.Interpretation: Manuals, design specifications, blueprints, drawings and weld symbolsEquipment Operation- Overhead Crane and jib hoistEffective communication and organizationPosition Requirements (knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform satisfactorily in the position):Successful Completion of 2G ASME weld testInterpretation of design specifications, blueprints, and drawingsMust be able to read and understand weld symbolsKnowledge and ability to use all core welding/ fabrication tools to weld, cut, trim, or grind metal objects to dimensionsMust be able to work in non-climate-controlled work area while wearing the required PPEAbility to work overtime as neededHigh School Diploma or GEDPhysical Demands:Position requires standing 1/3 to 2/3 of time.Position requires sitting at a desk working on a computer under 1/3 of time.Position requires walking 1/3 to 2/3 of time.Position requires reaching under 1/3 of time.Position requires climbing and balancing under 1/3 of time.Position requires talking over 2/3 of time.Position requires lifting up to 10 lbs. under 1/3 of time.Position requires pulling and pushing under 1/3 of time.Position requires driving over 2/3 of time.Position requires hearing over 2/3 of time.Position requires keyboarding over 2/3 of time.Position requires close vision and distance vision under 1/3 of time.Position requires climbing stairs under 1/3 of time.Position requires working outdoors under 1/3 of time.Position requires travel within 1 hour of main office 1/3 to 2/3 of time.Position requires travel more than 1 hour outside of main office 1/3 to 2/3 of time.Position requires reading and interpreting instructions over 2/3 of time.Position requires repetitive motion under 1/3 of time.Position requires regular and reliable attendance.Position requires proficiency in English and grammar usage skills.
