Outpatient Physical Therapist Job in Leander, TX North Austin Physical Therapy is hiring for an Outpatient Physical Therapist job in Leander, TX , and we’re looking for someone who is passionate about helping patients regain movement, confidence, and independence. You’ll build meaningful relationships with patients, educate them on injury prevention and long-term wellness, and empower them with the knowledge and confidence to stay active long after discharge. Compensation: Base salary: $68,000-$76,000 annually Qualifications: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program Current Physical Therapist license (or eligibility for licensure) in the State of Texas Current CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred) Strong clinical reasoning, evaluation, and treatment planning skills Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and compliant documentation practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including history review, functional assessments, and clinical decision-making to develop individualized treatment plans Provide one-on-one skilled physical therapy treatments focused on improving mobility, function, strength, and quality of life Deliver evidence-based interventions including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, functional training, and patient education Establish meaningful relationships with patients while guiding and motivating them throughout their recovery journey Regularly assess patient progress and modify treatment plans to optimize outcomes and meet individualized goals Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with clinic standards, payer requirements, and regulatory guidelines Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers to support coordinated care Collaborate with other clinicians and team members to promote a positive, patient-centered clinic environment Educate patients on injury prevention, home exercise programs, and strategies to maintain long-term health and wellness Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to a culture of learning, growth, and clinical excellence Support clinic initiatives that enhance patient experience, community relationships, and overall practice success Skills: Proficiency in evidence-based treatment techniques, including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and functional training Ability to build strong therapeutic relationships and provide exceptional patient experiences Clear and compassionate communication skills with patients, families, physicians, and team members Strong time management and organization skills to effectively manage a patient caseload while maintaining quality care Ability to adapt treatment approaches based on patient needs, goals, and progress Commitment to accurate, timely documentation and compliance with clinical standards Ability to work independently while actively contributing to a collaborative team environment Growth mindset with a willingness to learn, receive feedback, and continue developing clinical skills Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make confident clinical decisions Passion for helping patients return to the activities, hobbies, and lifestyles that matter most to them Benefits: Health insurance Whole Life Insurance 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off (PTO) Paid holidays Continuing education credit allotment Supportive, collaborative team environment Mentorship Program for Recent Graduates If you’re looking for a place where you’ll have the opportunity to build lasting patient relationships while working alongside clinicians who value collaboration and continuous learning, we’d love to hear from you.
