Registered Behavior Technician

Role Description The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a flexible position in several locations (McMinnville, Smithville, Dickson and Columbia). The RBT will implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), providing 1:1 support in home, school, and community settings. Daily tasks include collecting accurate data on client behavior and skills, assisting with functional and skills-based assessments, and following structured teaching and behavior-reduction procedures. The RBT will maintain clear, professional communication with supervisors, caregivers, and other team members, document sessions in a timely manner, and participate in regular training and supervision. This role also involves promoting client dignity, safety, and independence while adhering to ethical and compliance standards. Qualifications Foundational knowledge or experience in Behavior Analysis and Applied Behavior Analysis, with the ability to implement behavior plans as directed. Skills in Behavioral Intervention and Psychology, including understanding of reinforcement, motivation, and behavior-change strategies. Strong Communication abilities, including clear documentation, professional interaction with caregivers and colleagues, and responsive listening. Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or eligibility to obtain certification within a specified timeframe. High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social work, or related field preferred. Ability to work reliably on-site in Middle Tennessee area with physical capacity to engage in active, play-based and instructional work with clients. Commitment to ethical practice, client confidentiality, cultural sensitivity, and ongoing professional development.
