Sr Research Associate

Gilead Sciences seeks a Senior Research Associate to join the Biologics Pivotal Formulation and Process Development team in Oceanside, California. The role involves executing experiments and developing formulation and drug product processes for innovative molecules in clinical and commercial stages, with opportunities for career growth in a collaborative, resource-rich environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute experiments and activities supporting formulation and drug product process development
• Operate scientific equipment and analytical tools following established methods and techniques
• Document data accurately and timely in lab notebooks, reports, and protocol repositories
• Analyze experimental data, draw conclusions, and prepare reports or memos for presentation
• Support project stakeholders and team initiatives to drive business process excellence and scientific innovation

Requirements

• Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
• Alternatively, Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of industrial experience in biologics CMC development
• Hands-on experience working with biologic products strongly preferred
• Proficiency with scientific equipment such as HPLCs, UV-Vis, CE-SDS, and iCIEF
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently across multiple complex workflows
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation: $86,275–$111,650 base
