As a Grocery Associate, you'll build valuable skills in merchandising, inventory management, product rotation, customer service, and retail operations. Routine Tasks:

• Provide exceptional customer service by offering product knowledge, answering questions, and making personalized recommendations
• Assist customers in locating products throughout the store
• Restock, organize, and rotate dry, refrigerated, and frozen products to maintain product availability and visual appeal and availability
• Ensure shelves, displays, and endcaps remain clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the day
• Rotate products using first-in, first-out (FIFO) practices to maintain freshness and quality
• Monitor products for freshness and remove damaged, expired, or unsellable merchandise
• Package, label, and accurately price self-service items
• Operate pallet jacks, carts, and other approved equipment safely to transport merchandise from storage areas to the sales floor
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
• Report inventory shortages, damaged products, or merchandising concerns to department leadership
• Assist with other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Prior grocery, retail, food service, or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic math and reading skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with a positive, service-oriented attitude
• A passion for serving people

Physical & Work Environment

This role is performed primarily on the sales floor and in grocery backroom storage areas and requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, stocking, and organizing products throughout the shift. Grocery Associates regularly work with dry grocery items as well as refrigerated and frozen products and should be comfortable working in varying temperatures as needed. The position requires safely operating pallet jacks and stocking equipment while maintaining a clean, organized, and customer-ready department.
