Job Summary:
The Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT) position is located in Apple Valley, California. This role involves supporting surgical procedures within an acute care hospital setting. The technician will provide intraoperative assistance across a variety of cases, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and safety protocols, with flexibility to float between different surgical services as needed.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid California license, certification as a Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT), BLS certification, a minimum of 2 years of experience in surgical settings, and the ability to scrub for general, orthopedic, spine, total joint, urology, endoscopic, vascular, gynecological, abdominal hysterectomy, C-sections, dilation & curettage, laparoscopic gynecological procedures, and vaginal hysterectomy cases.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with robotic-assisted surgeries, SPD (Sterile Processing Department) experience, outpatient surgical experience, and familiarity with electronic charting systems.
• Additional Information: The position requires scrubbing experience, and the candidate must be willing to float to the main facility if needed. The facility supports a collaborative surgical team and provides necessary operative equipment. Proper PPE, surgical supplies, and instrumentation will be used during procedures. Applicants should be prepared to work on open heart or complex cases if assigned.
