BHH Services is hiring Part-Time Youth Support Specialists to provide one-on-one support for children and teens with special needs throughout Orange County.

This is a meaningful part-time opportunity for applicants interested in psychology, social work, nursing, health sciences, child development, education, behavioral health, or related fields. You will be matched with a child or teen and provide support in the family’s home through companionship, emotional support, social engagement, and age-appropriate activities.

Your work also gives families a reliable, planned break while helping their child feel supported, safe, and engaged.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to a child or teen with special needs
• Engage the client through conversation, play, activities, and social interaction
• Offer companionship, patience, and emotional support

• Communicate professionally with families and the BHH Services team
• Maintain consistency with your assigned weekly schedule

• Current college students or recent graduates in psychology, social work, nursing, health sciences, kinesiology, child development, education, or a related field
• Interested in working with children or teens with special needs
• Reliable, patient, calm, and emotionally present
• Looking for direct client experience in a meaningful part-time role
• Available for 15–20 consistent hours per week
• Able to work in client homes throughout Orange County, CA
• Able to pass a Live Scan background check
• Able to provide reliable transportation
