Meal Preparation And Customer Service
The purpose of this class within the organization is to provide a range of functions in the preparation of meals and provide customer service. This class works under close to general supervision according to set procedures, but determines how or when to complete tasks.
Performs the preparing, cooking, and serving of meals and snacks. Cleans kitchen, appliances, utensils, and dining areas. Maintains compliance with health and safety regulations, standards, and policies. Assists in receiving, stocking and maintaining inventory of food and kitchen equipment and supplies. Performs related work as assigned.
Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent. One (1) year of experience in food service. An equivalent combination of training and experience (as approved by the department) may be used to meet the minimum qualifications of the position. Requires a valid ServSafe Certification.
