Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Planner III to support nuclear plant projects and maintenance activities in a highly regulated power generation environment. This role is responsible for developing detailed electrical work packages, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring all planned work complies with applicable nuclear, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Location: Richland, WA
Duration: 12 months

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and prepare detailed electrical work packages for plant modifications, maintenance, and project activities.
• Conduct field walkdowns and evaluate job scope, materials, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Work Management, and Supply Chain teams to support project execution.
• Prepare and review work instructions, drawings, procedures, permits, and regulatory documentation.
• Ensure compliance with NEC codes, nuclear industry regulations, station procedures, and 10CFR50.59 requirements.
• Support scheduling meetings, troubleshooting efforts, clearance reviews, risk assessments, and planner peer reviews.
• Identify required materials and support procurement recommendations for project execution.
• Assist in developing and revising maintenance procedures and planning documentation.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of nuclear plant work management and planning processes.
• Experience with electrical maintenance and modification planning in a regulated industrial environment.
• Understanding of ALARA principles, nuclear safety standards, and plant security requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer-based planning and maintenance systems.
• Ability to obtain Planner I qualification.

Required Experience & Education:
Candidates must meet one of the following combinations:

• Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant technical experience; OR
• Associate degree and 8+ years of relevant technical experience; OR
• High school diploma/GED with technical training and 6+ years of relevant experience; OR
• High school diploma/GED and 10+ years of relevant technical experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $75.00 to $81.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
