Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend, Every Other Holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to general Medical Surgical patients within a 10-bed unit
• Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise, utilizing age and population-specific standards appropriate to the clinical setting
• Operate unit equipment including EMR (Epic), AccuDose, Bladder Scanner, Philips monitors, and Telemetry
• Float to other Medical Surgical units across the Fargo campus as needed
• Badge in and out of the facility for all shifts; wear Navy Blue scrubs per facility dress code

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Experience in a larger hospital setting (minimum 250 beds) at a Level 2 or higher trauma center
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Active RN license in North Dakota or a compact state (or willingness to obtain)
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Completed prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Travel nursing experience completed within the last year
• Familiarity with Telemetry monitoring and AccuDose medication dispensing systems
