Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Brazing Welder for our client near Decatur, AL. In this role, you will perform metal joining operations by heating metal parts and applying a filler material to create a strong bond without melting the base metals. Reads blueprints, prepares materials, inspects finished work, and uses brazing equipment to meet quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and work instructions.
- Clean and prepare metal surfaces.
- Use oxy-acetylene torches or induction heating equipment.
- Apply filler metal to join components.
- Inspect finished joints for quality.
- Work with steel, copper, brass, aluminum, and other metals.
- Base metals are melted and fused together.
- Creates a stronger structural joint for many applications.
- Common in manufacturing, construction, and fabrication.
Requirements
- 2 year of experience in a Welding in a Manufacturing Environment (required)
- High School Diploma/GED or technical school graduate
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work occasional overtime
- Steel-toe boots required
- Must pass background and drug screening
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal)
