340B System Support Analyst

This role supports the expansion of the 340B Multiple Contract Pharmacy Program by maintaining databases and systems to ensure financial and regulatory compliance. The position works closely with staff and contract pharmacies servicing the company’s population. Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field Preferred: Master's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field Work Experience Required: 2 years’ experience in Healthcare, Compliance, Business, Accounting, Finance or related field Preferred: Experience working with the 340B Drug Discount Program Certifications Preferred: Completion of Apexus Advanced 340B Certificate Program Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs) Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally Proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard Strong interpersonal skills Knowledge of pharmacy processes and medications utilized Excellent analytical and organizational skills and strong attention to detail Ability to travel throughout and between facilities Reliable transportation to travel between facilities, including ability to drive vehicle on Interstate Highway System Knowledge of the pharmaceutical contract mechanism for hospitals, GPOs, Retail Pharmacies, and Wholesalers Knowledge of pharmacy software to support 340B Pharmacy Programs Skills in Microsoft Excel and Access Knowledge of regulations and guidelines of the 340B Program Job Duties Complies with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards, including all HRSA Office of Pharmacy Affairs regulations related to the 340B Program Monitors 340B drug utilization and purchasing at contract pharmacies Supports implementation, testing, maintenance, and auditing of new contract pharmacy sites Serves as a technical resource to contract pharmacies and hospital pharmacy departments Performs audits on a scheduled basis including presenting and resolving issues as they arise during the monitoring and reconciliation process Monitors and audits Medicaid prescriptions to ensure compliance to prevent duplicate discounts Uses the electronic health record to research patient records within the specified audit period, documenting and identifying the eligibility of the provider, location, and patient’s status Analyzes data and builds reports to identify cost savings and system improvements to yield higher compliance Assists with staff education and training for the 340B Program Develops and fosters working relationships with internal and external working counterparts to facilitate productive exchanges of information to improve program efficiency and promote program compliance Performs other duties as required Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards. Physical & Environmental Demands Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work. The work involves walking or standing to a significant degree, and may include pushing and/or pulling of materials. Normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue. Incumbents are not called upon to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid. No occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases. Potential exposure to hazardous medications and hazardous waste exists.
