Maintenance Mechanic – Manufacturing / Production

Pay: $22.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience
Location: Northeast Philadelphia, PA
Job Type: Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week
Shifts: Day & Night Shift Available

Looking for Hands-On Manufacturing Maintenance Experience

Southwark Metal Manufacturing Company is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to keep our manufacturing equipment running safely and reliably.

This position is ideal for someone with 1–3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, distribution, or industrial environment who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, making repairs, and keeping operations moving.

Pay is $22.00–$32.00 per hour based on relevant experience and skills.

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing and production equipment
• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns
• Troubleshoot motors, controls, wiring, circuit breakers, sensors, and electrical components
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance
• Read and follow schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Safely work with 120V, 240V, and 480V electrical systems
• Use hand tools, power tools, meters, and maintenance equipment
• Document repairs and maintenance activities using computer-based systems
• Work safely and communicate with production and maintenance teams

What We're Looking For

• 1–3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, distribution, or a similar industrial environment
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Basic electrical troubleshooting experience
• Familiarity with motors, controls, wiring, and electrical components
• Ability to read basic blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, or technical drawings
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Helpful experience: Conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors/gearboxes, sensors and controls, welding/fabrication, preventive maintenance, or technical/trade school training.
