Description

Position Summary: Drive truck and trailer with a capacity of up to 11,400 gallons of petroleum products to various places in Oregon and Washington. Support the Key Customer Requirements of Tyree Oil: Safety, Quality, Dependability, Hospitality, Integrity, accuracy, Cleanliness, Value.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the correct product and quantity is being loaded in the correct compartment of the trailer at the tank farm.
• Process all tank farm paperwork in accordance with Company procedures and standards.
• Utilize the shortest and safest routes to the delivery destinations.
• Check customer tanks to verify what products are held.
• Stick each tank and record beginning inches before delivery.
• Complete customer invoice with correct amount of fuel delivered, price, and amount due for that delivery.
• Maintain the appearance of the truck & trailer inside and out.
• Maintain truck inventory items including spill pads, metal bucket, flags and correct nozzles.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

Minimum Experience: Typically requires two years or more of driving a Class A vehicle.

Education: High School Diploma or GED

• Must possess and maintain a valid Class A driver license with a hazmat, tanker and doubles and triples endorsement.

• Type and frequency of personal contact required: Daily contact with Tyree employees, general public, other organizations and customer personnel, and contractors in person, online, or via the telephone.
• Physical Demands and Work Environment:
• While performing the duties of this position, the employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms, consistently lifting above the shoulder; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift hoses, etc with product and/or move up to 100 plus pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• The employee must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Climbing & Balancing: frequently climbing steep, narrow ladders and stairs, especially on truck trailers and working at heights above 6 feet. Excellent stamina is required. The employee regularly works on or near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, rain and snow, and exposure to dust and asphalt. The employee may occasionally work in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is generally loud.
• Machinery/Forklift operation may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats.

Work Schedule and Travel:

• Hours Per Week: Regularly scheduled for 40+ hours per week,
• Days Per Week: 5 days per week / 10+ hours per day; Days off vary based on assigned schedule.
• Shift: Day shift (4am to 4pm) or Night Shift (4pm to 4am)
• Overtime: Occasional/Regular overtime is required.
• Weekends/Evenings: Weekends/Evenings are occasionally required
