About the Role
Trauma IMC is a 12-bed Intermediate Care nursing unit with one negative pressure room and 1 equipped with bariatric ceiling lift. As a surgical trauma IMC unit, care is rendered to a variety of intermediate care trauma and surgical patients including but not limited to:
- Trauma patients requiring more frequent monitoring. Which may include advance respiratory support such as BiPap, HiFlo Oxygen, Vapotherm and trached patients requiring chronic ventilator support.
- Trauma surgery and related injuries requiring more frequent monitoring.
- Orthopedic trauma and related injuries requiring more frequent monitoring.
- Trauma Acute Care Surgery patients requiring more frequent monitoring.
- Other Surgical Patients requiring more frequent monitoring admitted by Trauma and Acute Care Surgery (TACS).
- Secondary placement for post tPA patients requiring more frequent monitoring.
Minimum Job Qualifications
- Licensure or other certifications: Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
- Educational Requirements: Associate's Degree, ADN or Diploma required
- Minimum Experience: At least 1 year of RN experience Demonstrated competence in RN I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire
