Kitchen Director

Lead the Kitchen. Build the Team. Grow With Us. Tiger Hospitality Group is looking for an experienced, hands‑on Kitchen Director to lead culinary operations at UCSD food hall location. If you know how to keep a busy kitchen running smoothly, motivate a team, maintain high standards, and stay cool during the rush, we want to meet you! This is a great opportunity for a hospitality professional ready to take ownership of kitchen operations and grow with an expanding restaurant group. WHAT YOU'LL DO Lead day-to-day back-of-house operations Coach, train, and develop kitchen team members Maintain excellent food quality, consistency, and presentation Ensure food safety, sanitation, and health department compliance Manage staff scheduling, labor, and productivity Oversee inventory, ordering, receiving, and food costs Create a positive, accountable, team-focused kitchen environment Work closely with restaurant leadership to deliver a great guest experience WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Previous Kitchen Manager, Executive Sous Chef, or similar leadership experience High-volume restaurant experience preferred Strong leadership and communication skills Solid knowledge of food safety and sanitation Experience managing inventory, food costs, and labor schedules Ability to stay organized and perform well in a fast-paced environment A genuine passion for hospitality and developing great teams WHAT WE OFFER Competitive salary: $75,000–$80,000 annually (DOE) Bonus and growth opportunities Health and wellness benefits, where applicable Employee meal discounts Experience working with multiple food concepts Career advancement within a growing hospitality company Positive and collaborative team environment LOCATION UCSD Food Hall South & Scholars Dr, Revelle College Dr, La Jolla, CA, 92037 READY TO LEAD?
