This includes phased array radar systems, electronic modules, pedestals, and power and cooling systems. The department comprises individuals with technical expertise and experience in hardware design, integration, and production support.Mechanical Engineering is searching for an experienced Senior Principal Design Engineer to work in the Radar Design Department.Thisonsite role will be based inMarlborough, MAor Tewksbury, MA.What You Will DoDevelopsound technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems related to the entire product life cycle.Program support and development from early development through transition to production.Lead the mechanical development of radar systems and components that achieve the performance requirements at the system-level.Provide technical conscience, challenged with making sure the product and process meet appropriate standards and requirements.Ensure balance with risk conditions and constraints while advising leadership.Visible and accountable for technical decisions.Frequent technical contact with the customer and senior personnel inclusive of requirements, significant technical commitments, IRAD, future technical needs, etc.Maintain responsibility for meeting cost, schedule, quality, and performance requirements for the finished product.Work with minimal direction or supervision, while exercising considerable latitude in determining the technical objectives of the assignment.Utilize effective communication with all levels of a program and customer.Periodic travel will be required to support collaboration, and hardware build and test.Qualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.Experience in the design of mechanical design for military or aerospace or commercial applications.Experience with phase array structures, and/or hardware packaging, and/or array integration for military or mechanical or commercial applications in a collaborative environment.Qualifications We ValueExperience with ANSI drawing standards and/or first order or structural analysis techniques.Experience in Metrology.Experience in ruggedized or military integration.Experience with CREO(Pro/E) or similar 3D solid modeling software.Familiarity with the design and manufacturing processes of CCAs, metal housing, sheet metal, or assembly operations.Leadership skills and project management for strategic decisions.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).What We OfferA total rewards package that goesabove and beyondwith compensation; healthcare, wellness, and work/life benefits; career development and recognition programs. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
