Setting: Outpatient Orthopedics / Sports Medicine (Open-Concept Clinic & Fully Equipped Athletic Training Facility)

Compensation: $95,000 - $110,000 Base Salary | Total Earning Potential up to $130,000+ with Bonuses

Job Summary

The Physical Therapist Clinical Director will lead, manage, and grow a premier outpatient physical therapy clinic in Bellevue, Washington. Based in a modern, open-concept clinic featuring a fully equipped athletic training facility, this role seamlessly blends clinical expertise with operational leadership. The Clinical Director will inherit a currently full caseload (subject to optimization based on schedule structure) and will be responsible for providing exceptional, evidence-based care while managing daily operations, mentoring staff, and driving community integration.

Core Responsibilities

• Clinical Leadership & Care: Deliver high-quality, individualized physical therapy evaluations and treatment plans within an active, open-concept environment. Manage and optimize an existing full patient caseload based on strategic schedule structuring.
• Operations & Financial Management: Oversee all daily operations of the facility, including managing the clinic budget, analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs), structuring patient scheduling, and ensuring efficient workflows.
• Staff Mentorship & Development: Recruit, onboard, train, and retain a high-performing clinical and administrative team. Foster a collaborative, positive, and growth-oriented work environment.
• Community & Referral Relations: Act as the primary face of the clinic in the Bellevue community. Develop and maintain strong relationships with local orthopedic groups, primary care physicians, and athletic organizations to drive brand growth.
• Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure absolute compliance with Washington state regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and billing/documentation standards. Implement continuous quality improvement initiatives to optimize clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
• Licensure & Certifications:
• Current or eligible for Physical Therapist licensure issued by the Washington State Board of Physical Therapy.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.
• Experience:
• Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of clinical experience in an outpatient orthopedic or sports medicine setting.
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or clinic management experience is highly preferred.
• Proven track record or strong interest in clinical operations, marketing, and professional networking.
• Skills & Abilities: Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to balance excellent patient care with business metrics. Exceptional communication, team-building, and relationship-management skills.
