CNC Machinist

Job Title: CNC Machinist Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to setup and operate CNC mills and lathes. Qualified candidates should have the following experience: Responsibilities Operate CNC mills and lathes. Set up machines by mounting and aligning workpieces, fixtures, and tooling. Program edit CNC software packages. Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. Machine parts to ±0.005" thickness and ±0.010" end-of-part. Monitor machine operations. Inspect completed work using measurement tools. Perform routine operator-level preventive maintenance on CNC machines. Essential Skills 2+ years of experience working with CNC machines. Experience working with 3 and 5 axis machines. Exposure to close tolerance work, typically on the order of a few thousandths of an inch. Use of calipers or micrometers. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. English reading, writing and verbal communication skills sufficient to read, write, and understand and communicate the company's operating procedures and policies. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a large, clean machine shop located in Harford County. Our facility includes various departments such as machining, assembly, fabrication, and engineering. The working hours for this position are from 10 PM to 6:30 AM, Sunday through Thursday. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Joppa, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $66560.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
