Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk for a contract-only opportunity expected to last approximately 6–8 weeks . This role will support the accurate organization, maintenance, and processing of patient medical records in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, experience handling confidential information, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
Review, organize, and maintain patient medical records
Scan, file, and upload documents into electronic medical records systems
Ensure records are complete, accurate, and properly categorized
Respond to requests for medical records in a timely manner
Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations
Assist with chart audits and record clean-up projects
Communicate with internal departments regarding missing or incomplete documentation
Previous experience in medical records, healthcare administration, or a related role preferred
Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry
Excellent communication and time management skills
