Exciting Opportunity in CVOR!

Job Description:

- Position: CST CVOR
- Shift: 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM
- Location: Reston, 1850 Main Building
- Cost Center: 70316

Unit Specifics:
- Number of Beds: 2
- Patient Ratios: 1:1
- Exceptional Staffing: Board runner, charge nurse, service line coordinators, and ancillary assistance for room turnovers
- State-of-the-Art Equipment: Belmont, ESU, positioning equipment
- Documentation System: Meditech Expanse
- Scheduling Requirements:
- RN: 7 AM - 4 PM (M-Th), 7 AM - 3 PM (M-F)
- CST: 7 AM - 4 PM (M-Th), 7 AM - 3 PM (M-F)
- Floating Policy: Float to main operating rooms
- Patient Experience: Engage directly with patients, requiring excellent communication skills and a strong team approach

Hiring Profile:
- Requested Skill Set: Forward-thinking, proactive planning for potential issues, strong teamwork
- Must Have:
- Teamwork
- Scrub or circulate procedures
- Room setup and turnover
- Obtaining disposables and instrument sets

- Advanced Skills Needed:
- Sterile technique
- Central line setup
- Art line setup
- Belmont setup and operation
- Cell saver setup

- Procedures Performed:
- Open heart procedures
- CABG, MVR, TVR, AVR, VATS, vascular procedures

- Certifications: CNOR preferred, BLS required

Dress Code:
- Scrubs provided
