Who We Are EVCC was created by veterinarians, for veterinarians — and for the communities they serve. Founded by 36 local general practice veterinarians (many still actively involved today), we were built to support the veterinary community, not compete with it.

Currently, EVCC Kalamazoo is open:

• 24 hours from Thursdays at 7 AM through Tuesdays at 7 PM

• Including all holidays that fall within that timeframe

Our #1 goal is to expand to 24 hours a day, 365 days a year , ensuring pets always have access to lifesaving treatment — weekend or not.

As a Client Service Representative, you are often the very first and last interaction a client has with our hospital. You are the steady, compassionate presence in moments of fear and uncertainty. You are not "just the front desk." You are the heartbeat of the client experience.

Your Role as a Client Service Representative (CSR) - PART TIME As a CSR at EVCC, you are the bridge between our medical team and the families we serve. You help create clarity in chaos, provide empathy in stressful moments, and ensure the hospital runs smoothly from the front lines.

Whether you're new to veterinary medicine or bringing years of experience, our CSRs are the backbone of our EVCC team. If you love animals and enjoy helping people, this is an opportunity to build a meaningful, long-term career in veterinary medicine.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You :

• Are positive and approachable

• Have excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
• Are energized by a fast-paced environment
• Possess a strong desire to learn and grow
• Can work mostly all Saturdays and Sundays 7a - 1p
• Willing to work a full shift (12 hour) during the week as needed (PTO coverage) - will be notified in advance if this is needed

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Anticipate client needs and provide empathetic, timely service
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and the clinical team
• Greet clients and ensure they are seen by a doctor as promptly as possible
• Help clients understand and navigate financial options
• Support smooth workflow and case progression through strong teamwork
• Coordinate with referring veterinarians and expedite medical records
• Accurately input client and patient information
• Process payments and maintain detailed records
• Keep the front desk area clean, organized, and welcoming
• Ensure clients leave with clarity, confidence, and a positive experience

This role requires emotional intelligence, resilience, organization, and heart.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of experience in a client service role
• Previous veterinary experience is a bonus, but not required
• Advanced proficiency in computer programs and practice management software
• Ability to remain calm and compassionate in high-stress situations
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Team player with a flexible, can-do attitude
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
