Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Gatesville, NC. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients in a skilled nursing setting regain or improve daily skills following injury, illness, or disability. This role involves evaluating functional abilities, developing individualized treatment plans, providing hands-on therapy per physician orders and facility protocols, documenting patient progress, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, educating patients and caregivers, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree).
• Current Occupational Therapist license in North Carolina required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC required.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or similar geriatric rehabilitation settings preferred.
• Ability to evaluate patients' functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to collaborate across disciplines.
• Ability to document patient progress and maintain accurate treatment records according to facility and regulatory standards.
• New graduates welcome. Clinical experience with common skilled nursing equipment and assistive devices preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams in a skilled nursing or long-term care environment.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records documentation.
• Additional certifications related to geriatric care or rehabilitation therapy preferred.
