Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in a hospital setting License: Active state license required at time of submission Certifications: BLS & NRP Must-Have: Greater than 2 years NICU experience Description: Minimum of 2 NICU nurses are staffed at all times on night shift, more as census needs. Patient ratios are typically 3:1 or less depending on acuity and census. Type of equipment utilized includes Alaris pump, Medfusion pump, Dash 5000, phototherapy lights, iStat machine, glucometer, giraffe beds, panda warmer, Ohio warmer, bili meter, and traditional ventilators. Electronic medical records system utilized is Centricity Perinatal and Meditech Expanse. Typical procedures performed include IV starts, lab draws, medication administration, UVC/UAC line maintenance, assessments, assisting providers with intubation, chest tube placement, umbilical line placement, and circumcision. Candidates with STABLE Delivery team experience will be prioritized. Every other weekend work is required. Dress code includes provided scrubs.
