Right at Home, In-Home Care office located in Wallingford, CT is seeking to hire Live-In Caregivers who possess reliable car, drivers license, and insurance to join a dynamic care team providing a professional, comfortable, and supportive experience to our clients' while in their home. You can make a difference in your career by helping people stay in the comfort of their homes.Right At Home, In-Home Care is seeking Live-in Caregivers to work in the following targeted locations: Wallingford, Hamden, Middletown, Cromwell, Southington, Plainville, Cheshire, Waterbury, Naugatuck, Middlebury, Watertown, Woodbury, Southbury, Terryville, Plymouth, and Thomaston locations.Caregiver (Required) Items: No exceptions· Must be 18 years of age· Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds· Must have a reliable car· Valid Driver's license and auto insurance· High School diploma or GED· Must have the ability to pass a full employment background check· Must have basic computer skills and navigate with little assistance from othersNice to Have's:CNA or HHA CertificationCovid Vaccination and Booster, PPD, Flu, Hepatitis B and MMRCPR and First Aid CertificationEssential Caregiver Functions:Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living. These could include (but are not limited to):Personal HygieneAmbulation/TransfersDressing/ShavingPrepares meals and snacks according to instructionsAccompany patient on errands or medical appointmentsPerforms light housekeeping activitiesPerforms patient-specific activities are taught by a Right at Home senior caregiver and/or office staff. These could include (but are not limited to):Providing hospice supportive careMedication remindersAssisting with the prescribed range of motion exercisesAssisting with blood glucose monitoringCare of bed-bound patientsIncontinence careUse lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer liftsPreferred Experience in:Hoyer liftPersonal careRange of Motion ExercisesFoley careCompanionshipLight cleaningCompensation: $175.00-$262.50 per dayWhy we are the RIGHT TEAM!Flexibility! You're never short of a smile and take real pride in your work; cope well under pressure and thrive on a challenge.You don't mind getting a little dirty...this could include (but not limited to) assistance with eating, personal hygiene, assistance with dressing, shaving, light housekeeping, laundry, and other household chores.You don't have to be a gourmet chef but you can prepare a good meal and work your way around a kitchen.You are able to assist the client in many ways, this could include (but are not limited to), medication reminders, assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises, dementia care, companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.Must Haves: Must be 18 years of ageMust be able to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the jobMust possess a valid driver's license and current automobile insuranceYou must have a high school diploma or GEDMeets the requirements for employees providing direct patient careMust have the ability to pass a full employment background checkMust have successfully completed a Competency Evaluation that meets the State licensing law for home health agenciesCurrent CPR Certificate is recommended6 months experience as a Home Health Aide in health care (in homes or facilities) and successful completion of a State-approved Nurse Aide or Home Health Aide course.Why Join Our Team?
