Pay or shift range: $150,000 USD to $170,000 USD The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Description Wequassett Resort and Golf Club, a Forbes Double Five-Star property is seeking a Director of Finance to join our team. Reporting directly to the Area Managing Director, this role serves as a key operational and strategic partner within the department, supporting the full scope of financial management for the resort. The Director of Finance will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, assist in the preparation of financial statements and forecasts, and help maintain the strong control environment essential to a property of our caliber. This individual must be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, seasonal resort environment. The ideal candidate will bring hotel experience, specifically in a luxury resort setting. Job Summary Assist in the execution of the month-end close process, including preparation of financial statements, journal entries, and accruals Reconcile balance sheet accounts in accordance with GAAP and established resort standards Ensure accuracy of the P&L, verifying that costs are properly matched to revenue and recorded in the correct accounts Manage accounts payable functions within the resort's purchase order system Forecasting, Budgeting & Analysis Support the Director of Finance in developing the annual operating budget and quarterly forecasts Prepare financial analysis to assist leadership in variance explanation and achievement of financial goals Analyze financial data and report on property performance trends to support operational decision-making Identify opportunities to improve profit through cost control, efficiency, and process improvement Controls & Compliance Assist in developing and implementing financial controls and systems to manage business risk and safeguard resort assets Ensure compliance with government regulations, contractual agreements, and brand standards Support internal and external audit processes, maintaining organized documentation and timely responses to inquiries Maintain working knowledge of relevant contract elements including management agreements, fee structures, and reporting obligations Serve as a resource and point of contact for the Finance team in the Director of Finance's absence Partner with department managers across the resort to provide financial guidance and support operational goals Communicate financial results, variances, and projections clearly and professionally to property leadership Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement within the Finance department Maintain confidentiality of all financial data and sensitive resort information Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required Minimum 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort environment Solid knowledge of Acumatica and/or Birchstreet strongly preferred; experience with ProfitSword, OPERA, Micros, or Hotel Effectiveness a plus Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Strong understanding of GAAP, financial controls, and hospitality accounting practices Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to the demands of a dynamic, seasonal operation Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate effectively across departments High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information We are proud to offer a highly competitive compensation package: Wage range based on experience starting at $150K with annual incentive bonus eligibility Employer-subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance Optional Disability, Life and AD&D, Critical Illness, and Accident Insurance options Additional Health & Wellness benefits including prescription and gym membership discounts Generous Paid Time Off package including MA Sick Time Flexible and understanding work-life equality Family Matters Program of 16 weeks fully paid parental leave for new parents 401k employer match, up to 4% of salary Competitive wages with ongoing market analysis with annual performance evaluations and compensation adjustments Discounted employee and immediate family hotel rates as low as $59 per night at EOS Hospitality portfolio locations Food and Beverage discount of 50% Off at EOS Hospitality portfolio locations Discounted lodging rates from New England Inn & Resort Association partners Pathways for growth and professional development including training and tuition reimbursement Company-funded Employee Assistance Program for life and mental health resources #INDWEQ Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.For further information, please review the Know Your Rights notice from the Department of Labor. #J-18808-Ljbffr
