New Graduate Nurse

Role Overview The Graduate Nurse provides direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, following completion of a nursing program and prior to licensure. They must obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation to maintain employment in Missouri. The position involves educating patients and families, assessing physical and psychosocial needs, developing and modifying care plans, and promoting patient safety and quality standards. It requires critical thinking, collaboration with the healthcare team, and adherence to regulatory guidelines. The role is safety-sensitive, emphasizing alertness and safe practices.
