Substitute Bus Driver
Metropolitan School District of Mt. Vernon
This job requires the ability and necessary skills to safely transport children, good communication skills, ability to make sound judgments regarding student safety, and a willingness to work with people in a pleasant manner. Substitute drivers have flexibility to drive morning and/or afternoon routes and choose which days of the week they want to drive. No large vehicle driving experience needed, WE WILL TRAIN QUALIFIED CANDIDATES!
School bus drivers must obtain or currently hold the following:A. CDL with S Endorsement, Class B with Passenger and Air Brake Endorsement
B. Indiana Bus Driver Certification
C. Approved bus driving skills
D. Other requirements as indicated by school district policy * The length of time on duty is determined by the route assigned. The Board of School Trustees reserves the right to waive or modify these specifications.
