Night-Shift RN Supervisor: Lead Resident Care & Team

Position Description As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will play a pivotal role in our healthcare team by overseeing staff assignments and providing comprehensive supervision of resident care. Your responsibilities encompass ensuring the highest degree of quality resident care by adhering to established policies and procedures, as well as following the guidance of the Director of Nursing (DON). Night Shift 6pm-6am Shift differential available for nights and weekends! Qualifications To excel in this role, you must have: Educational Background: A graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a recognized Registered Nurse (RN) program with a current licensure in the state of Kansas. Leadership Skills: Possess strong leadership abilities and a willingness to collaborate with both professional and nonprofessional personnel. Language Proficiency: Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language. General Duties and Responsibilities Clinical Complete all required Registered Nurse record‑keeping forms and charts during a resident's admission, discharge, transfer, and other important events, ensuring proper filing in the resident's chart or forwarding to relevant department. Prepare and administer medications as prescribed by the physician. Facilitate the admission, transfer, and discharge of residents, including necessary arrangements for transportation and packing. Administer professional services, including catheterization, tube feeding, suction, wound care, specimen collection, and other procedures as outlined by facility policies and procedures. Supervision Collaborate with the facility's consultants as required and implement recommended changes under the guidance of the Director of Nursing (DON). Investigate and address complaints and grievances, providing necessary oral and written reports to the DON. Exchange nursing reports at the beginning and end of your shift duty hours. Conduct daily checks on all residents to ensure that prescribed treatments are administered correctly by nursing personnel or assistants and assess their physical and emotional well‑being.
