We have an in-house Architectural Finishes & Specialty Fabrication Division that ships/installs nationally.

We are seeking anexperiencedconstructionEstimatorforourSpecial Projects GroupatourPittsburghoffice.

What you will do:

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects during the preconstruction and bidding phases.
• Calculate quantity take offsandestimatecostsand conceptual budgetsfor estimatingconstructionprojects.

• Researchand forecastmaterial, labor, and equipment pricing for cost estimating projects.

• Participate in gathering of data to support market condition research, inclusive of but not limitedtoconstruction economic, trends, current projects, contractor's availability and skill sets, labor force, and other miscellaneous contributions on aspects of construction.

• Entercalculatedandresearcheddata into computerutilizingspecific cost estimating software programs.

• Createscopesof workand bid packagesof multiple trades to ensure nothing is missed for the project team.

• Assistthe estimating team with data conversions and analysis of cost estimating efforts in format and easily understandable.

• Respond to common inquiries or issues from clients, regulatory agencies, ormemberof the business and general community at large.

What you will need to be successful:

• Minimum ofthree (3)years experience estimating commercial interior renovation, tenant improvement, and/or fit out projects up to $5 million.

• Must be experienced in quantity take-offs.

• Ability to communicate effectively in person, on the phone, and through email.

• Must have the ability to read drawings and interpret specifications.

• Computer skillsrequired Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• On Screen Takeoff & QuickBid Experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, scheduling, and project delivery systems.
