Asistente de Seguridad del Paciente

Bajo la dirección del Gerente de Enfermería y con la supervisión general de una Enfermera Registrada, el Asistente de Seguridad del Paciente (PSA) realiza servicios relacionados con la enfermería para pacientes pediátricos hasta geriátricos que requieren un monitoreo aumentado mayor al que puede ofrecer el personal de la unidad general. Esta posición se mantiene en el Grupo de Recursos Internos y flota a múltiples unidades según sea necesario. El PSA se queda en la habitación del paciente asignado y es consciente de las necesidades de seguridad del paciente. Esta posición notifica al personal profesional sobre las necesidades del paciente y los alerta en caso de emergencia. Documenta en la hoja de observación y asiste al personal de enfermería licenciado con la atención según lo delegado. El PSA trabaja de manera colaborativa con todos los miembros de la unidad, incluidos el paciente y la familia, y es un componente vital de la atención al paciente. Esta posición está asignada para apoyar la provisión de un entorno seguro para los pacientes que cumplan con los siguientes criterios: Criterios paciente suicida paciente bajo retención administrativa paciente pediátrico no ingresado en un área segura y/o en riesgo de daño impulsivo autolesivo con deterioro cognitivo/confuso con marcha inestable #J-18808-Ljbffr Valleywise Health
