We are looking for a dependable, patient caregiver to provide in-home support to a young adult with developmental disabilities. This is a consistent weekday afternoon schedule with one client, making it a good fit for someone who wants steady part-time hours and a chance to build a meaningful one-on-one relationship.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Help with daily living activities, personal care, and routines according to the client’s plan of care
• Support the client in the home and the community, including transportation to activities and appointments
• Respond calmly and appropriately to challenging behaviors using positive, person-centered approaches
• Encourage independence, social skills, and participation in daily activities
• Keep the client safe and report any concerns or changes to the agency
• Complete documentation accurately and on time, including Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) clock-in and clock-out

Requirements:

• Must be at least 20 years old with a high school diploma or GED
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance (required)
• Experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities
• Experience handling challenging behaviors, or willingness to complete behavior management training
• Must pass a criminal background check and required registry checks
• CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain before starting
• Must complete required Direct Support Worker training
• Patient, dependable, and able to stay calm under pressure

Preferred:

• Experience with young adults or teens with disabilities
• Prior experience as a DSW, CNA, or personal care assistant
