Position Overview

This position guarantees 48 hours per week with a preferred start date of December 14th. We are seeking qualified candidates for a role in a progressive care unit located in a main hospital setting.

Unit Information

• Location: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) North, 2nd Floor
• Number of Beds: 18
• Staffing: 60 total staff members, including:



• Day Shift: 6 Charge Nurses, 21 RNs, 2 Patient Care Technicians.
• Night Shift: 5 Charge Nurses, 2 RNs, 2 Patient Care Technicians.
• Patient Ratios: 4 patients per RN

General Information

• Shifts: 7 PM to 7 AM; includes 2-3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
• Call Requirements: None

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess the following skills and certifications:

• ACLS Certification
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification
• Experience in travel nursing or as a local certified nursing assistant (CNA) or sitter is preferred.

Typical Procedures and Equipment

• Procedures: Post-Cath Lab Care, Drip Titrations
• Equipment: EKG, Bipap, Welch Allen Vital Signs Monitors, Alaris IV Pumps

Dress Code

Scrub color is grey; hoodies are not permitted.
