About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required, first-time travelers accepted License: Active RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: EKG certification required, must pass EKG exam during onboarding Experience with Epic charting system Description: The candidate will provide care primarily for medical-surgical patients. The position requires flexibility with scheduling. The client has a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences. The candidate must be aware of the EKG exam required. The patient population will include adults and geriatric patients. It will also include observation patients and those with respiratory conditions. The workload will feature a patient ratio of 6:1 on days and nights. Travelers may be required to float across various facilities. Routine vital signs observations will be needed unless otherwise specified. The candidate should have skills in managing telemetry, blood product administration, and airway management. Hospice, palliative care, and psychiatric observation patients will be included in the caseload. Daily census will be around 12 patients, with care focusing on stability and routine assessments. The use of rapid response and code teams will be part of the role as needed. Compliance with all requirements is mandatory prior to the start date. The candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary team providing comprehensive patient care.
