Green Gold Electric LLC is hiring a licensed Texas Journeyman Electrician to help build and lead our growing field operations in the Greater Houston area.

We are a growing electrical contractor specializing in residential battery storage, solar/PV-related electrical work, service equipment, generators, and other residential electrical projects. The owner/Master Electrician currently performs our installations personally, and we are looking for a strong Journeyman who can initially work alongside the owner and grow into independently leading installations with an apprentice/helper.

This is a hands-on field position with the opportunity to grow into a Lead Electrician role as we build additional crews.

What we're looking for:

• Active Texas Journeyman Electrician license required
• Strong residential electrical experience
• Ability to read and execute work from electrical plans and manufacturer documentation
• Experience with service equipment, panels, feeders, disconnects, conduit, conductor pulls and terminations
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
• Ability to lead and work productively with an apprentice/helper
• High standards for workmanship, code compliance, safety and jobsite organization
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers and project partners
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to jobsites throughout the Greater Houston area

Preferred experience:

• Residential solar/D&R
• Battery energy storage systems (ESS)
• Generator installations
• Service upgrades and electrical troubleshooting
• Crew lead, foreman or project leadership experience

About the role:

Initially, you will work alongside the owner/Master Electrician to learn our installation standards, equipment and project workflow. The long-term goal is for the right Journeyman to be able to receive an approved plan set and materials, lead an apprentice/helper, and take ownership of installations through electrical completion without constant oversight.

Most current projects are located on the east, northeast and southeast sides of the Greater Houston area. Occasional travel outside the immediate area may be available as project volume expands.

We currently have multiple projects approved and ready to schedule and are looking to move quickly for the right candidate.

Compensation:

Competitive hourly compensation based on experience, technical capability, leadership ability and ability to independently manage installations. Compensation toward the upper end of the posted range is intended for candidates capable of taking on lead-level responsibility.

Green Gold Electric is still growing and does not currently offer a formal benefits package. As we build out our field crews, our goal is to develop long-term opportunities for strong employees, including increased responsibility and future consideration for benefits and a company vehicle for a proven lead employee.

Active Texas Journeyman Electrician license is required. Apprentices without a current Journeyman license will not be considered for this particular position.
