Full-Stack Software Engineer

Location - Redwood City, CA (On-site)

On-site role requiring five days per week in-office in Redwood City.

Compensation

$215,000 – $290,000 Base + Extremely Competitive Equity

Visa

As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, you'll join a small, high-impact engineering team where engineers have significant ownership over product development, architecture, and technical direction.

You'll work closely with the founding team to build scalable full-stack systems spanning polished frontend experiences, backend APIs, AI orchestration, telephony integrations, analytics, and infrastructure.

This is an opportunity to work on a category-defining voice AI product while owning projects from architecture through production and directly influencing the company's technology and product direction.

What You'll Do

• Build and ship full-stack product features across the platform


• Develop polished and intuitive frontend experiences using React and TypeScript


• Build scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js, Python, and other backend technologies


• Develop core voice AI product capabilities including prompt orchestration and conversational workflows


• Build dashboards, analytics systems, and customer-facing product experiences


• Build and maintain telephony integrations supporting AI-powered voice conversations


• Design and implement scalable distributed systems supporting high-volume AI workloads


• Build production APIs and backend services supporting customer-facing applications


• Own projects end-to-end from architecture and technical design through implementation, deployment, and iteration


• Make architectural decisions across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and AI systems


• Build reliable DevOps and deployment workflows supporting rapid product iteration


• Work closely with the founding team to define product requirements and technical direction


• Translate customer needs and feedback into product improvements


• Collaborate directly with customers during onboarding and technical implementation


• Debug production issues and improve system reliability and performance


• Build tools and workflows that allow customers to activate and deploy AI voice solutions quickly


• Design intuitive interfaces that simplify complex AI and telephony workflows


• Build backend systems supporting prompt orchestration, call handling, analytics, and integrations


• Integrate third-party APIs and external systems


• Work across frontend and backend systems rather than operating within a narrowly defined engineering scope


• Build systems capable of supporting large volumes of AI-driven conversations


• Improve application performance, reliability, scalability, and user experience


• Contribute to engineering standards, architecture, and development processes


• Work closely with other engineers to maintain a high-quality and collaborative engineering culture

Ideal Candidate Background

Experience Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience


• Strong full-stack engineering background


• Experience working across both frontend and backend systems


• Experience building and shipping customer-facing software products


• Experience working at multiple startups, ideally YC-backed or high-growth technology companies, preferred


• Experience at a fast-growing startup with rapid promotions and increasing technical ownership preferred


• Experience owning projects end-to-end from architecture through production


• Experience building production software in fast-paced environments


• Experience working directly with product or customer-facing teams


• Experience operating with significant autonomy and ownership


• Experience working in environments with rapid deployment cycles


• Strong product mindset and understanding of software quality standards


• Strong understanding of modern web application architecture


• Experience working with distributed systems preferred
