Production Planning Manager

Production Planning Manager
The Production Planning Manager will lead their team from the manufacturing facility. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise the Production Planners by setting expectations, providing guidance, and training
- Analyze, plan, and release production orders to manufacturing
- Develop new and update existing standards and procedures for the team
- Collaborate with Production, Operations, Supply Chain, Design, and Project teams
- Report out on the production plan, identify road blocks and provide solutions to remove or mitigate issues
- Develop and maintain monthly department Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for On-time deliveries
- Analyze production data and its impacts to KPI’s or production budgets and make changes where necessary
- Drive data and inventory transaction accuracy
- Coordinate with Project Teams to forecast demand and set priorities
- Analyze production capacity data and provide report outs on over/under capacity
- Prepare and submit status and performance reports on production planning
- Provide estimated manufacturing time for assemblies
- Facilitate approved Engineer Change Requests and Deviations
- Maintain a culture of safety and Quality
- Perform other duties as assigned
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of job experience and education
- Advanced knowledge in production planning and strong analytical skills
- Extensive experience working within an ERP and/or MRP system. Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus.
