Technicians may take care of landscaping and do basic janitorial work. They should be proficient in plastering, dry wall installation and painting. A building maintenance technician will be required to order supplies, maintain inventory and ensure all routine maintenance on company vehicles are completed.Job Duties:Minor plumbing repairs including leaky or plugged faucets and pipesRepair and erect wall partitions, shelves, fences, floors, doors and other related itemsRoutine carpentry workAssist with routine maintenance of vehicles, including checking/replenishing fluids, checking tire pressure, cleaning, taking vehicles for repairs that cannot be made by staffMoving furniture, equipment, suppliesPainting/decorating interior and exterior surfacesJanitorial duties including cleaning residences, school and officesResponds positively to requests for assistance by child care and treatment staffMaintains routine records including all key distributions.Physical Requirements:In the course of performing this job, the incumbent typically spends time standing, walking on sloped/hilly areas of campus, carrying, driving, lifting (up to 50 pounds), listening, speaking, reaching, writing, and participating in restraint procedures.QualificationsHigh school diploma or its equivalentValid California driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the Company's insurance carrierOne or more years' experience in institutional maintenanceWorking knowledge of painting, carpentry, plumbing, automotive and welding skillsProficient in inventory managementWorking knowledge of Microsoft OfficeAbility to lift and exert self physically to perform all duties
