Pay Range: $26.55 - $39.85 Atrium Health and Carolina NeuroSurgery & Spine Associates (CNSA) – two nationally recognized leaders in the field of spine care – have established a premier partnership, creating a single source of access to spinal expertise, excellent outcomes, and innovative treatments. CNSA provides brain and spine care services including adult and pediatric neurosurgery, spine surgery, physiatry, neurology, pain management and physical therapy. The group offers advanced surgical and non‑surgical treatment for brain, spine and peripheral nerve disorders including tumors, deformities, injuries, stroke, epilepsy, congenital anomalies, concussions, neck and lower back pain, and pituitary tumors. The group comprises 49 physicians, 41 advanced practice providers and over 550 employees across nine office locations. Responsibilities Performs radiographic examinations with minimal supervision under the direction of the Radiologist and coordinates daily activities to include performing examinations and associated clerical duties. Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician. Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity. Prepares and administers contrast media as required. Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary. Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills. Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards. Education and Certification Education: Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology. Certification / License: Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date. CPR certification required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Requires strenuous physical effort while assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers. Handles equipment and monitoring supplies. Must have good oral and written communication skills. May be required to frequently stretch, bend, twist, squat or kneel in operating radiographic equipment. Must be able to use hands for power gripping, speed work and precision during manipulation of radiographic equipment and in the case of injured and diseased patients. Vision and hearing up to 10 feet is necessary. May be exposed to various physical conditions throughout the workday such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs, and being near moving equipment.
