Location: University of Maryland Medical Center Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center

Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (up to 50% remote after orientation based on clinical responsibilities)

The University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a highly motivated Registered Nurse to join our growing Adult Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy (TCT) Program. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a nationally recognized multidisciplinary team providing cutting-edge stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies, including CAR T-cell therapy, gene therapy and tumor infiltrating lymphocytes for patients with cancer and Sickle Cell disease.

As a Stem Cell Transplant & Cellular Therapy Coordinator, you will serve as the primary clinical coordinator throughout the transplant and cellular therapy journey, ensuring seamless communication between patients, families, referring providers, and the multidisciplinary care team while supporting exceptional clinical outcomes and regulatory excellence.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate the clinical and administrative activities for a case load of patients undergoing stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy.
• Guide patients through evaluation, pre-TCT testing, treatment planning, transplantation, and any post treatment cellular therapy as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary specialists, including medical oncology, infectious disease, neurology, pharmacy, social work, financial services, and supportive care teams.
• Serve as the primary liaison for patients, caregivers, referring physicians, and outside healthcare organizations.
• Coordinate pre-TCT, diagnostic testing, consultations, and treatment schedules to ensure efficient and timely care.
• Communicate with referring physicians regarding patient eligibility, treatment plans, protocols, and ongoing clinical updates.
• Ensure complete medical records, pathology, diagnostic testing, and required documentation are obtained and maintained.
• Partner with the Transplant Financial Coordinator and Managed Care Department to facilitate insurance authorization, utilization review, and reimbursement processes.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic health record and program databases.
• Assist in preparing program reports and responding to requests for operational and clinical data.
• Participate in multidisciplinary patient care conferences, clinical rounds, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Develop, update, and provide patient and caregiver education materials.
• Support FACT accreditation activities by assisting with policy development, implementation, regulatory compliance, and continuous quality improvement.
• Participate in professional development through continuing education, conferences, and specialty training.

Work Experience

Required

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or eligibility to practice through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Strong organizational, critical thinking, and care coordination skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Knowledge of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and management of treatment-related toxicities.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Preferred

• Minimum of two years of oncology nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in Blood and Marrow Transplantation, Cellular Therapy, Hematology/Oncology, or infusion services preferred.
• Experience coordinating complex patient care across multiple specialties.
• Experience with electronic health records and clinical databases.
