In the role of Senior Structural Engineer - Buildings, we'll count on you to: Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in structural engineering as it relates to projects; resolve problems of greater scope and complexityPlan and develop projects or design activitiesPlan, organize and supervise work of medium to large staff of professionals and techniciansServe as Project Manager on larger projects, though project management is not sole focus of positionPerform other duties as neededPreferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering with Structural Emphasis. Structural Engineer (SE) license. Revit and Navisworks experience.An interest in data center structural design. Experience writing proposals. Knowledge of ACI 350, AWWA D100, and API 650.Previous experience with structural investigations and rehabilitation design#LI--JM8QualificationsRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering A minimum of 10 years structural engineering experience as it relates to building design Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar analytical software Experience in design calculations and layouts Ability to design and detail in steel, concrete, masonry and wood Requires understanding of gravity analysis and lateral analysis Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We BelieveHDR is our company.
