A reputable healthcare facility seeks a skilled Pharmacist to support their inpatient pharmacy operations in a large 500-bed hospital setting. This contract opportunity offers a dynamic environment where patient care and safety are top priorities. The position is based in York, PA with an ASAP start date and extends for approximately 13 weeks. The schedule accommodates variable days and afternoon shifts, providing some flexibility.
Responsibilities include:
- Verifying medication orders to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Supervising and guiding pharmacy technicians in daily tasks
- Consulting with physicians to optimize pharmacological treatments
- Utilizing pharmacokinetics knowledge to tailor medication plans
- Navigating and managing pharmacy systems including EPIC and Pyxis
- A valid Pennsylvania pharmacist license
- Around 2 years of experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
