Shipping And Receiving Clerk

Maintain the shipping and receiving area. Perform incoming visual inspection operations. Identify shortages and any non-conforming material, taking appropriate action as required by activity instructions.

Duties And Responsibilities

Primary Duties & Areas Of Responsibility:

• Loading and unloading product from trucks, signing and obtaining signatures as required.
• Ensure incoming freight is consistent with applicable documentation with no damage or shortages (purchase orders, freight bills, pack-slips, etc.).
• Inspect parts as received
• Accurate data entry on F-33
• Maintain high levels of organization in the shipping and receiving area, clearly segregating incoming from finished product.
• Responsible for coordinating shipments through various common carriers.
• Ability to operate hoist, forklift and powered pallet jack.
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned based upon the needs of the business

Education

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED

Skills

Required Skills, Competencies & Certifications

• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Ability to process and communicate information using Microsoft Office software
• Ability to report relevant, accurate and concise information up the chain of command.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to collaborate with a team, multi-task and work in a fast-pace environment.

• Work near moving mechanical parts 5% of the time
