Test Equipment Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Test Equipment Engineer for a Direct Hire job with a client in Rockford, IL (Onsite) . Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the Aerospace/ Aviation industries .

Salary Range: $100,000 to $130,000; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

We are seeking an experienced Test Equipment Engineer to develop and support automated and manual test systems for aerospace products. This role involves designing test equipment, creating test procedures, executing qualification testing, troubleshooting failures, and analyzing test data.

Required Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 10+ years of test engineering experience
• Strong experience with LabVIEW and automated test equipment (ATE)
• Expertise in data acquisition, instrumentation, and test & measurement systems
• Experience with troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis
• Knowledge of aerospace qualification testing (DO-160, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, etc.)

Preferred

• Test Stand experience
• Python or C++ programming
• Aerospace/Avionics industry experience
• DOORS, SolidWorks, NX, or AutoCAD experience
